David Sacks

In 2009, after leaving a corporate position with a major transportation company, Dave Sacks began to look for new opportunities.  Through his son he became involved with a high quality housewares company which led him to form Cutlery Corner, Inc., a cutlery sales and sharpening company.  To understand how this company has evolved today, you’d have to know that 13 years prior to this Dave was heavily involved in local suburban farmer’s markets, where he not only sold his own home grown products but began to distribute others’ as well.  Combining the two endeavors of knife sales/sharpening and food just seemed to come naturally.  By 2010 & 2011, Dave reintroduced pure-raw honeys from Indiana and Florida, then the all-natural line of products from That Pickle Guy to the local markets and fairs.  Cutlery Corner, Inc. was no longer just knives and sharpening, it was specialty foods.  Hence, CC’s Specialty Foods was born.

CC’s Specialty Foods began with a focus on wholesale grocery with some farmer’s  markets, consignment shops and retail events to expose the products around the Chicagoland area.  However, it didn’t take long to remove some products, add some products, shift gears and take a much heavier direct-to-consumer approach to the business.  From the ground up CC’s has built their own brands such as,  Chicago’s Finest Coffee Cakes™, Chicago’s Finest Kolaczki™ and The Honey Man™ honey products.  CC’s continues to bring high quality products direct to the consumer via farmer’s markets, festivals, special events and craft/vendor shows.  We have also begun to venture outside the Chicagoland area selling at venues in IN, MI, OH & WI.  This year (2016) CC’s will have participated in at least 2 farmers markets and a minimum of 50 events which include the following:
